Ad/Art Inspiration
This is my take on the ad/art challenge at Butternug Squash Designs grand opening! You can see this in my gallery HERE.
Watching the big girls, that is what you are
doing in this picture. We were at the wedding
of some friends. After the wedding various
friends were gathered outside the church
before heading to the reception. You were
one of the younger girls. You enjoyed
watching the bigger girls twirl around in
their pretty dresses and blowing the wedding
bubbles. While you were not as big as them,
this did not hamper you from playing and
enjoying little girl games.

Shoes - Mother and Daughter

Journaling reads: Sitting on the front porch with each other and enjoying each other’s company. I took this photo to remind us of the time when you are little and can sit in my lap easily. You are a little girl that enjoys her pretty shoes and enjoys her dresses, yet runs and keeps up with her brothers as best as she can. May the Lord contniue to bless you all your days!

Cowboy Boots and Boys

Credits: Fonts: Doodle Cursive & Symphony
Scrapkit: Old West by Mirranda Reinhardt of Yesterday-remembered and AddictedToDigital. Wordart by myself with CK Wrangler font.
Journaling reads: Cowboy boots and little boys....they sure seem inseparable in our family. The first pair of cowboy boots were a hand-me-down to Caleb from friends, then we found the next pair at a Goodwill in Texas while visiting Grandma & Grandpa. A really small pair was found in Oklahoma at a Salvation Army Thrift Store. Peter wore those until they were too small; we are now saving them for Sarah. The pair that you have on were a find at a garage sale. The two other larger pairs of boots have been worn out to an almost unwearable state with holes aplenty and stitching broken. Cowboy boots are a wonderful way to enter the realm of imagination and boyhood!
I found the quote when reading a small book that I picked up this summer. We sure love cowboy boots...too bad he wasn't wearing his cowboy hat at the same time....
Thanks for looking.

Sleeping

Sleeping -- just a word for recharging when the one sleeping is 1 1/2 years old.. I just love how you tuck your legs and your arms underneath you when you sleep. Your little bottom sticks up and you sleep and dream away. Do you dream of playing with your brothers, being held in your mother’s arms, hugging you daddy or seeing a dog walk by our home?
See it here ~ 3 Scrapateers.
Long Time No Blog...

Journaling reads: A little girl without much hair what a blessing! You are four months old and the joy of your mother and daddy and brothers (and they are your joy)! In fact, Joy is your middle name. You have found your fingers and toes and you are smiling and loving life! Your eyes seem to have turned brown, just like your oldest brother Caleb’s. May you continue to grow in wisdom and stature.

Critical Mass

I found the effer dare blog earlier this week and was inspired by Dare #31. Dare #31 -- using a Book Title. I used the book Critical Mass (just because it was how I described DD's amount of hair).
Journaling reads: June 2006 - 20 months old and you finally have a critical mass of hair....meaning that you finally have enough hair to notice. While it is still too short to need a barette or pony tail holder, we have noticed that you might have some curls, especially in the back where it is longer. We were not concerned about the little amount of hair as your mom did not have much hair when she was your age (and hers was even harder to see being blond), and Mama is not lacking in that department now.

Sunshine Walk

This is my dear daughter. I just loved the shadows and her walking with her favorite (or is it my favorite?) hat on! I also tried chalking the paper strips on my own (tutorial from DigiScrapping Tutorials -- chalked tags tutorial for PSE).
Journaling is from this poem:
Author: unknown
She's a little bit of sunshine,
She's a smile to light your days,
She will steal your heart and
keep it with her warm endearing ways,
She's your precious little daughter,
With a sweetness from above
Who will fill your years with laughter
and your lives with lots of love.
